Bring the Art Quest experience home this summer!
Designed for students entering 1st – 6th grades, give your child the opportunity to create meaningful art from the comfort and safety of your own home. This FREE program will be offered over five weeks from July 7 – August 7. Each week students can register for a new session that will include a kit of supplies, easy to follow instructions, and access to online content including video demonstrations and the opportunity to exhibit their artwork in our virtual Art Quest @ Home Gallery.
Limited space is available per session and is reserved on a first come, first served basis. Kits will be available for pick up on the following Tuesdays – July 7, 14, 21, 28, and August 4 from 9-11 a.m. at the Stark Museum of Art.

Art Quest @ Home Camp Schedule:

Warp, Weft, Weave!
- Grades: Entering 1st – 6th
- Camp Dates: July 7 – 10, 2020
- Camp Kit Pick Up: July 7 (9 a.m. – 11 a.m.)
Get wrapped up in weaving this summer! This project includes everything that kids need to make up to two weavings and hang them for all to admire. Kids will practice weaving with paper strips, learn different weaving techniques, and then create a weaving with their own fabric. Kids will love their selection of yarns, patterns, and inspirational images from the Stark Museum of Art’s collection of Navajo weavings.

Torn Paper Pet Collage
- Grades: Entering 1st – 6th
- Camp Dates: July 14 – 17, 2020
- Camp Kit Pick Up: July 14 (9 a.m. – 11 a.m.)
Create a large, whimsical interpretation of your favorite animal by tearing strips of brightly colored papers to create the textured surface of your favorite pet. Then learn to blend oil pastels to create striking eyes and a charming mouth. Animal lovers will discover their mixed-media artwork is “purr-fect!”

My Animal Mosaic
- Grades: Entering 1st – 6th
- Camp Dates: July 21 – 24, 2020
- Camp Kit Pick Up: July 21 (9 a.m. – 11 a.m.)
This project is the “perfect fit” for kids who love animals or puzzles. Create a series of animals inspired by Zuni jewelry’s inlaid stone art style. Kids will work with foam pieces that resemble natural stone and shell colors to mosaic together turtles, fish, and birds. Everything your kids will need to create these (yes, even down to the glue and scissors!) is in this kit.

Magic Color Chameleon
- Grades: Entering 1st – 6th
- Camp Dates: July 28 – 31, 2020
- Camp Kit Pick Up: July 28 (9 a.m. – 11 a.m.)
Are you a magician, or an artist? You will be BOTH when you magically create secondary colors by mixing red, blue or yellow Model Magic together! Chameleons in nature sometimes change their colors to hide, but your brightly colored relief sculpture project will stand out among your art creations this summer!

Dots, Dots, Dots
- Grades: Entering 1st – 6th
- Camp Dates: August 4 – 7, 2020
- Camp Kit Pick Up: August 4 (9 a.m. – 11 a.m.)
Let’s make art with lots of dots! Stippling is a technique that uses dots instead of lines to create art. This dramatic project emphasizes the contrast of warm and cool colors to create a brightly colored design featuring a frog, lizard, or dragonfly using only watercolor paint and cotton swabs! You may think you are in the rainforest after mastering this modern art making technique.
