Is there an admission fee?
No, admission and parking are free!
Can I bring bags into the museum?
Yes, you may carry bags smaller than 11 X 5 X 14″ and they must be on your shoulder or handheld. Complimentary lockers are available for larger bags and umbrellas.
Is the art interactive?
Please enjoy with your eyes and not your hands. Works of art are fragile, so please keep a safe distance. We welcome you to interact with the designated touch objects located in the galleries.
What is your photo policy?
To protect the artwork, photography is allowed without a flash, unless otherwise indicated. Selfie sticks, mono-pods or tripods are not permitted.
What are your mobility accommodations?
All galleries are wheelchair and stroller accessible. Wheelchairs are available at the welcome desk.
Are children allowed in the museum?
Yes, children of all ages are allowed in the museum. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
Children may not be carried on the back or shoulders of an adult. Soft child carriers that attach to the front are welcome.
Standard-size strollers and forward-pushing stroller wagons are welcome; however, please note that stroller access may occasionally be limited, especially for extra-large strollers. Pull-behind wagons are not permitted in the galleries. For guest convenience, extra-large strollers or wagons may be stored at the Welcome Desk if needed.
Can I bring food inside?
No, please no food or drink in the galleries.
Is there a designated smoking area?
No, Stark Museum of Art is a smoke, tobacco and vape-free environment, indoors and outdoors. There are no designated smoking, vaping or tobacco-use areas on the property.
Can I bring my pet?
Sorry, no pets are allowed. Service animals may accompany visitors with disabilities.
What is your firearm policy?
As an educational institution with numerous school and educational groups and activities, weapons are prohibited on the property. Additionally, pursuant to Texas Penal Code Sections 30.05, 30.06 and 30.07, we have posted legal signage notifying the public that we do not permit concealed or openly carried handguns in our facility.
Is there a dress code?
Shirts and shoes are required at all times. Please do not wear articles of clothing that may be taken as profane, vulgar, racist, sexist or sexually suggestive.
