Juried Student Art Exhibition

Home Is…

The Stark Museum of Art is thrilled to share the virtual exhibition of “Home Is…: 2021 Juried Student Art Exhibition.” Students in 4th-12th grades were asked to create a work of art that explored the idea of home. The 100 original, hand-made works of art selected for this exhibition illustrate the many ways students defined home.

276 entries were submitted for this year’s exhibition. Fifteen schools from our region participated. Each entry included the work of art and written comments.  Jurors considered four factors.  They ranked the skillful use of chosen medium, composition and design, the artist statements, and creativity. Staff from the Stark Museum of Art served as jurors.

Whether you define home as a place, a feeling, the people around you, or in another way, we hope that you will make yourself at home as you explore the artwork in this year’s juried student art exhibition.
