We are thrilled to announce that FIELD TRIPS ARE BACK at the Stark Museum of Art!
This spring you have a great selection of onsite field trips that will offer your students the opportunity to engage with our world-renowned collection and create original works of art in our studio. Thanks to the generous funding of the Nelda C. and H.J. Lutcher Stark Foundation, all of our school programs are FREE for public, private, and homeschools in Region 5, Texas and Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the museum has put some new guidelines in place to help provide the safest experience possible for schools and for our staff. Please review our COVID Safety Guidelines in the catalog.
Another important change to note this year is that due to demand, we have adopted a formal calendar of offerings. Onsite school field trip programs will only be available on certain days. Be sure to review our full list of offerings and check the calendar at the back of the catalog for available program dates.
We hope that you will make plans to visit the museum this spring, and we look forward to seeing you soon!

The Stark Museum of Art’s onsite, curriculum-based field trips are a hallmark of our educational programming. The curriculum, designed by Stark Museum of Art education staff, consists of lessons for Pre-K-12th grade students that are aligned with state benchmarks in Fine Arts, Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science. All of our programs are designed to cultivate 21st Century Learning Skills: critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity. We strive to offer students unique experiences that provide real world opportunities to engage and connect with the visual arts and build upon their classroom experience.
