The Stark Museum of Art hosted its seventh annual elementary art exhibition, ART: It’s Elementary! The exhibition featured 66 original works of art from Kindergarten – 3rd grade students in the Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana region. The exhibition was on view January 14 – March 7, 2026 in the Community Art Gallery at the Stark Museum of Art, and it can also be viewed by watching the video below.

All public, private, and homeschools serving K-3rd grade students in Orange County were invited to submit up to 10 works of art for the exhibition, and teachers outside of Orange County were allowed to submit up to 10 entries after attending the annual ART: It’s Elementary Teacher Workshop. Each participating campus was responsible for selecting the works of art submitted.

The Stark Museum of Art hosted an Artist Recognition Ceremony on Saturday, February 21, 2026. Each student artist featured in the exhibition was recognized and presented with an award ribbon for their selection for this year’s ART: It’s Elementary exhibition.
